Show Canada 2007

Once again this year, SF Marketing Inc. was at the exhibition part of Show Canada 2007 which took place in Niagara Falls on April 25. This event is aimed mainly at professionals in the movie theatre business. We had a 10’x 10’ booth for our lighting division and we were in the Cinematronix booth with the speakers and QSC movie theatre amplifiers. Visitors were intrigued by the LED lighting machines. These machines are essential if movie theatre owners wish to create a magical mood upon entering their theatres. Visitor reaction was just as good for our speakers and QSC movie theatre amplifiers. These products are more and more popular in the movie theatre business. It was another successful edition for SF Marketing Inc. at Show Canada.

ITC 2007

For the first time, SF Marketing Inc. was among the exhibitors at the ‘‘Integrated Technologies Conference’’ show which took place at the Toronto Congress Center from May 23 to May 26, 2007. This show is dedicated exclusively to retailers in the electronics industry. We went all out for this first appearance. SF Marketing Inc. was there with a 20’ x 40’ demo room and a 10’x 20’ booth in the exhibition hall. In our demo room, visitors were able to look at our products on display and at the same time, listen to our Genelec 7.1 system which took their breath away. In the exhibition hall, our booth’s design was really unique with its ‘‘lifestyle’’ look. We made a very good impression. We also held two seminars. The first dealt with the new Furman ‘‘i’’ series and the second one on Xantech. These seminars were very much appreciated by those who attended. All these efforts were rewarded with good contacts made. It was thus a very successful first edition! Congratulations, well done to the whole team.

En Coulisse 2007

After a one-year absence, En Coulisse returned to the Palais des Congrès in Montreal on April 5 and 6, 2007. Despite the break, SF Marketing was as involved as ever – we were there with a 10’x20’ Shure booth and a 20’x20’ SF Marketing booth, and we were one of the major sponsors of the Lounge. SGM, WDMX, QSC and Pioneer provided all the lighting and sound equipment. The end result attracted great interest and we heard a lot of “Wow” comments. The brand-new SmaartLive V.6 sound system measurement software also made its Canadian debut to great acclaim. SF Marketing enjoyed tremendous visibility at the event and we’re already thinking about next year’s show!


Son & Image Festival

For the second year in a row, the Son & Image Festival was held at the Sheraton Centre in Montreal, from April 12 to 15, 2007. The festival garnered a great deal of publicity, partly due to spokesman Denis Talbot. And the advertising paid off, with record-breaking ticket sales from the very first day of the show that was open to the public. The Shure insulated earphones impressed many visitors. Everyone who tried them broke into broad smiles after just a few seconds of listening. Visitors also had an opportunity to try the brand new series of SE insulated earphones, being demonstrated for the first time in Canada. Our Custom SF Marketing booth also created quite a stir with the Lifestyle approach. Among the other items that captivated visitors was our virtual fireplace, using a projector and Goo screen.
This installation showed how successful SF Marketing’s General Public division has been in creating a range of complementary products that meet the highest standards in electronics. B&K also tapped into the popularity of the dream home cinema, which featured a sound system amplified by B&K. Yet again this year, SF Marketing was a huge hit at the Son & Image Festival!


Another Year at Break Forth 2007 for Shure and QSC

Once again, Shure and QSC partnered with Break Forth for the 2007 edition of the annual conference that took place January 26-28 in Edmonton, Alberta. Break Forth is the world’s largest gathering for the House of Worship market.

Visitors had the opportunity to listen to the new HPR122i loudspeaker from QSC that made its Canadian debut at Break Forth. Over 40 of these loudspeakers were used in all the break-out rooms for the duration the conference.

Shure, in collaboration with FM Systems, was once again the official microphone supplier for the conference. Shure also partnered with Genesis Communication and set up a 10’ x 10’ kiosk to showcase Shure goods. Attendees were able to purchase Shure products right on the spot. Shure’s E2 sound isolating earphones were a definite hit.

QSC and Shure are two leaders in this market, so expect to see them again at Break Forth 2008!


SF Marketing and Solotech Join Forces
For the 2007
Salon Rendez-vous HRI

SF Marketing and Solotech recently came together for the Salon Rendez-Vous HRI that took place January 21-23 at Place Bonaventure in Montreal, Quebec. As a distributor, SF Marketing gave itself the mandate to support its customers during their participation in various projects and events. To this end, SF did not hesitate to help Solotech set up their kiosk at this event. The kiosk was abuzz with activity thanks to the impressive lighting effects created by the Genios, Ribaltas and Palcos from SGM and the lycra panels from Extension. The booth also showcased QSC’s ceiling mount and wall mount speakers.

In all, this was a great partnership and we look forward to next year!
