B&K Component's HDMI-Ready Processor On The Way

Canadian distributor SF Marketing and US-based B&K Components (www.bkcomp.com), are proud to announce the arrival of the much-anticipated HDMI-ready REFERENCE 70 Home Theater Preamplifier Processor. This next generation home theater Preamp/Tuner/Processor comes standard with the most HDMI and the most total high definition Audio/Video ports available in the industry. Specifically, the unit boasts 6-HDMI inputs and a total of 14 high definition A/V ports. The retail price for new REFERENCE 70 will be $4799.

"The production of the Reference 70 has been a great leap forward for B&K. I think it would be best to describe it as a combination of B&K maturing to meet the new challenge of HDMI, finding the right partner to work with, Silicon Optix, and the HDMI standard stabilizing and becoming a consistent standard for the transmission of Audio/Video via HDMI 1.3b." said John Beyer, President & founder of B&K Components.

"The REF70's newfound wealth of i/o ports combined with an industry leading 6-HDMI ports will for many be worth the wait; and for those just getting to know B&K, a great discovery," stated Steven Freytag, General Manager, Consumer Division of SF Marketing.

The new B&K REFERENCE 70 boasts the following features:

  • 14 Discreet Audio & Video Inputs including 6 HDMI Inputs
  • Silicon Optix's Reon HQVT Processor
  • Freescale's new The SymphonyT DSP56720 Audio Processor
