Legendary Bass Guitars Built for a Lifetime

Stuart Spector’s humble beginnings can be traced back to Brooklyn, New York in 1975. Inspired by a close friend’s banjo, Stuart decided to embark on his lifelong path as a master craftsman. One of Spector’s first bass designs which continues to be built to this day was the NS contoured body by now famous Ned Steinberger. Interrupted only by a brief period in the late 1980’s, during which Spector guitars was owned by Kramer, Spector has consistently built legendary hand crafted basses. Currently based in his workshop near Woodstock, New York where they make 30 or so basses a month, Spector also offers production instruments built under contract in the Czech Republic, Korea, and China, all part of what Stuart jokingly refers to as his own “little mom-and-pop multinational corporation".

Users: Professionally endorsed by dozens of world class professional bass players including Mike Kroeger of Nickelback, Spector Basses have become a household word from the aspiring musician to touring and recording professionals alike.

Distinguishing features: Fully carved, ergonomically contoured bodies, some models featuring graphite reinforced maple necks, Spector Tone Pump™ circuitry and EMG active pickups.
